: I have raised silver arowanas for about ten years now, and i constantly hear all the time how silvers cant be paired and thats absolutely not true. They have to be paired off (male and female). i currently have two silvers (15 and 17 inches) paired and they get along perfect. You have to be able to understand what a male looks like and a female to pair them off. Males mouths are even. Meaning the top jaw and bottum ends up meeting even,while they also have short anal fins. Females are completely different. The female has a underbit and has longer anal fins. If you keep a male and a female together then you will be perfectly fine.
