Glad to hear that yr silver is in perfect health now.
Gill curl is mainly caused by poor water condition that is overly acidic and big temperature changes over short period of time. This may due to the 50% water changed. Have you age the water? Try to reduce to max 20% water change and you may do it more frequently. The aro is more comfortable with small amount of water change everyday. Just like a stream of water flow into a pond everyday in nature; the fish feel the refresh.
