In Response To: To Luc & TPY or anyone who know about Resun and Atman brand (Chong)

Hi Chong,

Most filters are almost identical in terms of function, and perhaps the way the filter media compartments are arranged.

Other differences would be noise output, reliability/durability and perhaps ease of changing filter media.

I really like the quality of the Eheim Professional series because of the construction as well as the ease of taking apart when the filter needs to be cleaned. It's no doubt more expensive, but I wouldn't hesitate to get it again. :)

One more thing, you might have noticed that the Eheim Professional II series is out. I haven't tried it yet but it addresses some of the issues that the Professional I series didn't have like self primming. It's over $300 for the 2028 model (2228 equivalent I pressume).

Another brand of my friend's broke down in less than 4 months and having used the Eheim Classic series, I would spend the extra to get the professional series for the easy of use and easy replacement of any spoilt parts commonly sold in LFS (not that it had happened!)

Alvin.
