There is absolutely nothing much you can do about it unless you purchase all the Aros and separate them into individual tank.
Yes, RTG is the most aggressive of that particular group but not of all Aros. Australis Jardini would hold that title and nothing beats to that.
However, I think young aros in the tank will not be killed by the RTG but more by the 1 foot Xback! Especially, if he is the first owner of the tank.
Though with the numbers of Aro, is the right numbers of Aros to be in a community tank, but the size of the fish must also taken into consideration.
I shared your anger and agree that they may really know nothing much of Aros. A 4" Green Aro, can be a food source for the 1 foot Xback easily!
Well, if there is any official authority that control the sales of Asian Aros in Canada, much like the AVA in Singapore, you can always writes in to complains or write directly to CITES may help to put to stop of what the owner is doing.
