Hi ALL,
Recently I have noticed quite a few hobbyists using coral sand in their tank(quite a lot) and the results their originally nice colored red arowanas lose their colors to a big extend.
Just to inform everybody not to use too much coral sand as their effect on color development can be great.
A friend of mine just told me that his 1st grade red(at 11 inches) have lost all it's red color(including tail and lips)! The effect is drastic!
Use it on a small amount to control PH and best is changing water and clean tank more frequently to maintain PH(near 5.5 to 6.0) is best for reds.
