Yes, recent few months, these two brands are making into the market.
I am not sure how good they are compared to Eheim as I have been using Eheim myself(E2260 and E2228) and so far there were never any technical and mechanical problems from the few years I have them if you follow instructions for maintenance closely.
Examining closely at the parts, you will soon realised that Eheim is the more precise and made of better material. This is what I think and might be able to last longer.
Efficiency wise, I think it depends on the power of the motor and the volume of the filter.

I use a ehiem 2229 wet and dry please let me know if it is good or not

Wilson, overhead is not very sighty, constant water change plus daily maintenance can do the job:)
