Hi guys,
Since the recent ups and downs with the three aros that I have, I have decided to do the following to make this hobby a joyful, happy and problemless one for a long long time. Here we go :
1. Patient and let the fish grow naturally.
2. By providing the best water condition rather than trying out all kinds of food that will caused water cloudness. This will cause stress when water change is needed frequently. In addition, it might disturb his/her diet or mood or preference that cause upset to his/her system. Choose the best food that is cheap, easy to obtain and keep water condition 1st class.
3. Make a fixed routine for everything ie feeding time, water changing, no adding in or taking out of mates, amount of black water, amount of solution to new water etc.I saw myself doing lots of unnecessary things that stressed my aros. Adding in and changing mates. Feeding without discipline. Changing foods whenever I thought it was good for them. Wanted very much to speed up their growing by feeding enormously. Thinking that I am the "doctor" by buying all kinds of medicine and add in whenever I diagnosed the "problem". Finally, I was actually the culprit that caused those stress, bad water condition that invited bacterias without putting myself in their shoes.
Good environment. Crystal clear water. Their easy obtain favourite food. What more can they ask for? What do you guys think? Nice day.
Regards
ML
